Wishing you "good fortune" with that canopy cover, Tonz. It looks kinda scratched from what I can see, but I know those scratches can be buffed out, if ya know the right techniques. Me, I don't, but I'm sure some of the other guys do.

Also, it's always a special feeling to restore an old toy like this to service with our collections. That's the way I feel when I "rescue" and "adopt" some cast-off or re-sale Joes from E-bay. Often they add a missing part to my collection of troops, but sometimes it's just a good thing to add a Joe that nobody else wants. I've bought just "onesies and twosies" of cast-off, nude, lonely Joes and they're just as important as the Joes I bought off the retail shelves or on-line stores. Sometimes, the older the Joe, the better I feel for bringing 'im home.
