Built for comfort, not speed.
Nice picture! He looks very good in amoung the plants! It reminds me of a jungle setting with lush vegetation. I bought the 40th A/M from Cotswold -the repro British Officer. I was on a theme to have officers for my various groups of troops and I ended up with the A/M officer, a Dragon MG. "Roy," and the DiD British Officer--my "Brigadier!" I already had a 21C British Airborne chap that I "appointed" a Captain, but I needed more than just the one from "way back when."
Hmmm...the memory is kicking in...and I recall that I also bought another British troop--another Dragon figure--in which I dressed him up in Armoury British uniforms with a Sterling SMG, IIRC. I don't know where he is off the top of my head...strange. I remember I appointed him as a junior officer--a young Lieutenant. I must have boxed him up and tucked him away while re-modeling the Joe/Hobby room. I really DO have more sorting and organizing to do.
I seem to recall that the toy companies weren't very diverse for their British troops, making most of them kitted-out for the Desert wars. To me, the beige desert uniforms are very blase'. Can't stand them really. Beige and browns, tans and...vomit colors. Yuck! Give me temperate climate OLIVE-GREENS for proper soldiers! Save the beige and browns for Car salemen and Televangelists!
It's always interesting to see what other guys get and "do" with their action figures--thanks for posting him, Gungho!
