Thanks, guys!!!

At first I didn't think making a dually was doable, but after Kaber suggested it, I took a few measurements and thought...heck yeah!!! Kaber supplied the jeep and the windshield was made by him. It's so good, I didn't even notice that it was custom for a couple days. I was thinking of saying "no trailers were harmed in the making of this vehicle" but that wouldn't be true. but sometimes sacrifices must be made in the cause for the greater good. I had the perfect donor trailer from ebay and won it, but the guy backed out of the sale. Man, was I frustrated, but I told him okay and kept watching ebay till another affordable trailer came up and finally got one.

Kaber liked the idea so much, he made his own dually. It's funny, even though we were bouncing ideas off each other, we both ended up taking a much different approach to it. I think he'll be posting his soon. It is very cool!!!

And Kaber and I would like to invite any of you to "Take the Dually Challenge" !!! How's that for a group FHQ project!?!?! What say you? Haz? You're a vehicle man.

First I gave it a 3" lift, massacred a trailer to get the fenders. Fit and glued them on, added some caulking to the seam and most of the rest was paint work. Had to get a new rear axle from a steel rod from Lowe's. The new front bumper was made from styrene, Cots steering wheel, donor shifter from another jeep and that's pretty much it except for the painting.

I'll post some more pic of the work in progress and there are couple unfinished things like the rear lights. And definitely some more pics with the cast and crew!

Thanks!
