ODBJBG wrote: Hey guys, I'm new here but just wanted to drop a little line to say hello. I grew up in the 80's so I more or less missed the 12 inch revolution and I didn't get my first 1:6 Joe until the 90's at some point. I never did build up much of a collection and a few years ago I sold off anything I had in the scale. A couple of years ago when the 25th Joe line launched and had the secondary 12 inch line, I hopped on board and picked up a few figures. Incredibly, I've never had an AT figure...Until now. I have a couple coming to me and I'm hoping to build up a small little group of AT guys. I just love the Adventure Team concept, but for whatever reason, just never got into it when they were available briefly in stores during the early 2000's. I'm around in the Mego and general toy communities too and I've bought a lot of 1:6 figures in the last few weeks, so I'm hoping to contribue in a big way here. I've been a fan of guys like8 Skeins of Danger, 12 oz Mouse and Adventurer Josh and their photos on Flickr. With any luck I'll be able to find some AT Joes for a decent price and continue to build up the team. Here's a Action Jackson (Joe's 8 inch copycat counterpart) in a custom commercial I made this past year for my toy and pop culture website Infinite Hollywood. Hopefully I'll be able to do some even cooler stuff with my Adventure Team dudes: I was definitely trying to go with a Adventure Team sort of feel with a few scenes in that.Anywho, here I am.

Echo Team wrote: Hello ODBJ, and welcome to FHQ, home of the Adventure Team and the FREAKS who collect and play with them. I actually saw your AJ commercial and it took me awhile to realize it was part old and part new. AJ and AT were two of my favs back in the 70's. I've been collecting Joes since the early 90's, vintage joe since the late 90's and I actually just started collecting AJ. and Mego Trek figs. I wouldn't call AJ a copycat, but a new scale that actually was extremely successfull in the 70's...even influencing Joe......Super Joe. We even have a few Mego guys in here too....maybe a new section is in order.ET
